While a sophomore at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas, James was already a part of an internet startup company. He had met his wife two weeks before beginning his freshman year and these two influences set up the direction of his life to come.
After graduating with a degree in Management Information Sciences, he moved to Honduras. He did not know any Spanish at the time, but when he visited his new wife’s family he fell in love with the people there and made it his home for 10 years.
James Cooper is still blazing new trails as the director of new technology at SSD. His role is to research and test the latest and most efficient tools and software. He looks for ways to systemize repetitive tasks to enable the team members to focus entirely on the client’s needs. He analyzes the processes assure consistency or efficiency. He oversees the development of numerous proprietary systems for SSD.
When not working, James’ focus is on family. With three sons active in activities ranging from soccer, karate and violin, there is never a dull moment in the Cooper household.
